Michael Mørkøv Claims Another Title in Denmark

“There are no words to describe how happy I am that I became Danish Champion for the second consecutive year and for the third time in my career.” Michael rode brilliantly on Sunday afternoon and was the first to raise his arms as he crossed the line. Look for Michael in his winning jersey during the Tour de France, where he is excited to compete and represent Denmark.

Jakobsen Powers to Maiden Win at the Nationals

Victorious in four races so far this season, the 22-year-old prodigious Dutchman kicked out more than 200 meters from the line to comfortably win the prized jersey which he’ll now wear for the next twelve months.

“I can’t tell you how happy I am. It wasn’t easy being on my own today, but I remained calm and waited to see how things would unfold. I must admit, I had luck by my side, as the race concluded in a bunch sprint, but also my legs were very strong, allowing me to start the sprint with 250 meters left and notch up this beautiful victory. I am proud that I’ll now get to sport this prestigious jersey in some of the world’s biggest races, and I plan on honoring it”.

Jakobsen is the youngest rider in 11 years to become Dutch Champion.

Bob Jungels Makes the Double in Luxembourg

Bob Jungels became only the fourth rider in history to come out on top at the Luxembourg Road Race at least six times, thus completing the double at the National Championships for the fifth time in his career.

“It wasn’t easy today and being able to drop everybody in the final kilometers gives me a lot of satisfaction. I’m happy that after a hard Giro d’Italia I could put my arms again in the air and ensure another twelve months in this beautiful jersey”, said Bob, who will make his next outing at the second edition of the Adriatica Ionica Race (24-28 June).
